Spero Means Hope
Our name, derived from the Latin word for hope, reflects the very heart of our mission. At Spero Hospice, we believe that even at the end of life, there is hope: hope for comfort, hope for peace, hope for meaningful moments with loved ones, and hope for a journey marked by dignity.
Founded in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Spero Hospice and Palliative Care was built on the belief that every person deserves compassionate, personalized care during life's most challenging moments. We are not a large corporate health system. We are your neighbors, committed to serving our community with the warmth and attention that only a locally rooted hospice can provide.
Our interdisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, and bereavement counselors works together to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every patient and family we serve.
